So Gene’s stories depended on, not only ghosts being real, but at least some of them being “good guys”. As I understood it back in the 1970’s, Gene Rodenberry’s original plot for Spectre (1977) was that William Sebastian (his last name was originally "Spectre") was an private investigator, specializing in supernatural related cases… Same as was eventually filmed.īut, originally, the plot was that William didn’t hide - but he also didn’t publicize - a secret “weapon” he had: ![]()
